Australia Day 11

Philip Island trip!
Had breakfast at Milkwood before we set off. Oink thinks that the coffee here beats all others. Maybe Padre coffee is of equal standing.

It was 1.5 hours drive to the island.

Most people followed the road itinerary along the way as we met the same folks over and over again.
Panny's amazing world of chocolate marks the starting point.

We played the games in the chocolate museum to win some balls to exchange for chocolate. It was fun!

Churchill island heritage farm was another touristy spot. Should've bought some pizza to eat with our leftover white wine.

They followed quite a fixed schedule of activities too. Milk the cow at 2.10pm, sheep shearing at 2.30 pm ( check out the bald sheep), whip crack 2.45 pm and dog chase at 3 pm.

Koala conservation center was also full of tourists...

Nobbies Center had a great view of the sunset too but we weren't going to wait here. Had to grab seats at our last destination at the penguins parade.

Many hours of waiting in the cold windy beach for the little penguins to land. No photos allowed beyond this point. Come to think of it, we could have a better view inland along the boardwalk after the penguins landed. Even though we had hand warmers, it was still freezing cold. Moo stole away Oink's windbreakers too. T_T

After all the play with the penguins, we ended late at 9+ pm. Wanted to have supper but Moo's not keen.

Reached home at 11+ pm. Dead-tired.
