We headed over to the next Cafe culture spot in Melbourne, the much famous Cumulus INC.
Had a nice cup of Latte with a very tasty trout and rosti.
We collected our Kia Rios at the Redspot Car rental and headed out to our Great Ocean Road Drive!
First Stop: Surf World, Bell Beach at Torquay.
It was a Scenic drive while we WOW our way throughout. It was a majestic sight.
We drove past Angelsea and had a small detour to their Golf course where we paid AUD$10 per pax to see kangaroos. It was later on that we found out that there was another place that we saw a lot of kangaroos for free.
Another 30 km drive to Lorne where we had Fish and Chip for Lunch.
Along the way, there were plenty of places to stopover for a scenic lookout. Almost every spot was unique in itself. We only chose a few because of the time limitation. There are people who can spend 5 days driving out along this whole Great Ocean Road stretch.
Some of these lookouts aren't well-indicated by google map. We could only find Mt Defiance, Cape Patton and the Kennett River.
We drove into the town of Kennett River where the big sign board says Favourite Tourist Top Pick.
This is where there will be plenty of exotic birds and koalas to see.
The Tour bus drops many Chinese Tourist here and they bought seeds to tempt the birds.
The Great Patton lookout is after the Kennett River.
We drove all the way to Apollo Bay to check-in at the Beachcomber Motel. Roaming around the Apollo Bay, we tried search for a dependable restaurant. Unfortunately, it was a weekday and most of them were closed. The only ones open was an over-rated expensive seafood restaurant and the Chinese restaurant. Since we were going to pay a high price, we decided to proceed to Chris's Beacon point for dinner.
The food was really so-so but the place was much appreciated for its view. Service was good and they even gave complimentary small cups of hard liquor with some complicated name. But Moo said it was tasty.
